LOCATION! Very high walking and biking score, transit hub, share with 1 (me). Light rail to Lynnwood, Redmond and Federal Way with many stops along the way. So many buses also, list below. Fully furnished w/all utilities included. Short term (interns, traveling medical, etc.) are welcome. The house is a huge turn-of-the-century home in the Roosevelt area of Seattle. Your room is a south-facing sunny upstairs room - and your own bath!). The location: In the Ravenna/Roosevelt neighborhood of Seattle. What this means is: quiet residential streets near a hub of transit, activities and parks. Within a 1–4-minute walk you can access Roosevelt Light Rail station plus other transit stops for 45, 62, 64, 67, 73, 79, 322, 522, Whole Foods, Ravenna and Cowen Parks, Cafes, restaurants, coffee shops, and LA Fitness. Two Safeway grocery stores, ½ north and south, Trader Joes 1 mile and a year-round weekly Farmer’s Market a very easy walk. Green Lake is less than a mile of pleasant walking (or transit options). The UW campus is a mile away. Large (2800 sq over three floors - MIL unit on lower level). The main floor has an entry hall, kitchen, living dining room and a bathroom; upstairs has 4 bedrooms and a bathroom. Two distinctive features of these houses are the big (covered) front porch and the corner windows in the upstairs rooms. In back is a shady respite with a homey-looking brick patio and seating. In front - the south facing garden with (in summer) tomato plants, bee balm and other garden flowers that attract hummingbirds. The porch is a great hang-out spot even in inclement weather, with multiple Adirondack chairs. I've been known to bundle up and take a cup of something warm out there to enjoy watching the neighborhood and neighborhood birds even at this time of year. The bedroom: You'd have the south-west bedroom (180 sf including closet). My bedroom is to the north, and the two bedrooms are sound insulated by our two closets. (The other two rooms upstairs are used as my office and a room I use for storage and occasional guests.) Residents would be you, me, and my mid-sized, very handsome, affectionate mutt. Sorry, no other pets. Your bedroom is south facing, with three glorious windows bringing light and expansive views of the neighborhood cascading in. Century-old Douglas fir floors. Simply furnished with a queen-sized bed and desk, with a dresser in the closet. The main house has two full bathrooms, one on each floor. Your full bath is on the main floor and recently updated with a new tile floor and pedestal sink. It's a private bath in the sense that no one else would be showering or brushing their teeth there, but the (ahem) other facilities would be used by me if I'm downstairs, or by guests. (And of course, you could use my bathroom if you're upstairs!). Me: I retired from a long tech career and am enjoying a busy retirement. Includes all utilities: water, sewer, electricity, fiber optic Wi-Fi, and central gas heat. Main floor TV has Prime, Netflix and other subscribed channels. Just to let you know but hope not to discourage, I run an extensive background check, credit score of 700 min, rental history check. Some flexibility with this depending with signed work contract for short term interns. Also 1st and last plus a deposit. This could be extended into longer term. Would like a minimum of 3 months, however, can arrange shorter and for non-full months with a slight upcharge. City says I have to rent for 30 days or more.
